The HBGBS offers practical garden placements.

The Historic and Botanic Garden Bursary Scheme (HBGBS) enables enthusiastic and committed horticulturalists to increase their horticultural and other technical skills through practically based training placements, in a range of historic and botanic gardens.

With support from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and a partnership of world-class organisations, the HBGBS is offering a range of unparalleled opportunities throughout the UK. Over the period of the HLF funding we will provide more than 1,000 learning opportunities, from a single day to a full year.
