The trainees met in October at Wentworth Castle. The three day seminar included presentations from John Watkins, English Heritage, John Humphris, Professional Gardeners Guild and Peter Goodchild who lectured on the historic garden landscape. We were privileged to be shown around Wentworth's gardens by Head Gardener Michael Klemperer and Harewood House by Head Gardener Trevor Nicolson. The seminar also included a full days visit to Fountains Abbey Gardens.
