Trees' economic value calculated
Torbay's tree stock is worth an estimated £280m according to a pilot UK study.
The i-Tree Eco tool was used to assess the structural value and ecosystem services of the 818,00 trees in the area.
The results could prove an important tool in highlighting the need for investment in green infrastructure.
New web pages for Brighton parks
Brighton and Hove City Council has launched a new interactive online portal to boost the profile of its green spaces.
Residents can see details of 98 green spaces, and even submit horticultural questions through the site.
The site is supplemented by the parks team's presence on Facebook and Twitter.
